The Silver Bullet for Your College-bound Teen

Overview

Is your teenager applying to college this fall? Do they struggle with getting their words down on paper? Articulating their message?

In a post Affirmative Action world, your student’s essay writing skills are going to be more important than ever. This four week course will help build your child’s confidence in their ability to tell their story in a way that makes them unforgettable to admissions officers and that magnetizes resources (ie scholarships) to them.

We’ll also talk about unconventional ways to fund their education.

The course will be led by Olori Lolade, a sociology scholar with an MA from Yale and in a PhD (paused in progress) program at Cambridge University (UK). She’s written countless essays and research papers which have gained her over $400K in grants, scholarships and fellowships across her career. Learn more about Olori Lolade here. The course runs from Sept 15 to Oct 6.

 

This online course will:

  1. Increase your child’s confidence in their ability to use their voice to get what they desire (on paper)
  2. Give them key strategies for essay writing mastery
  3. Prepare them to write essays that will wow college admissions officers and scholarship officers
  4. Teach them how to utilize AI and still keep their unique voice

We’re Cultivating Thriving Leaders

Black Genius University is a wholistic educational platform for cultivating the next generation of world leaders. From the BGU podcast to educational programs, we seek to inspire and cultivate high, humanist values systems in our students, which will help them to build a world with equitable institutions focused on the most beneficial growth and evolution of all people. Our core curriculum focuses on the intersection of applied metaphysics, digital technology, African languages and cultures, the full spectrum of creative arts and sciences. We are currently inviting applications from youth between ages 10 and 15 for BLACK WEALTH CAMP taking place in the Summer of 2024.

Black Genius University is a place for creative, intuitive, visionary and soulful Melanated youth to thrive, using their Divinely-given gifts to deliver a world in which equality, sensitivity, beauty and power all co-exist. A world which they lead, and a world which their collective vision charts the path thereof. BGU also provides a framework for educational organizations and cooperatives to thrive sustainably economically and socially.
