About the Portal

Enter the NOIRSHIP – The Portal to African Intelligence

Portal Intro

The NOIRSHIP is a unique place where Black art, vision and genius are on display for all to connect with, learn from and be infused by. By connecting with the beauty and power inherent in radical Black art, all will find themselves Liberated from within, releasing previously held notions of what holds value and what is possible in the world.

By immersing yourself in the power of African Intelligence, you are tapping into the power that has allowed Black people to thrive in art, music, technology, science and vision crafting for thousands of years, despite repeated efforts to quell our joy.

Gain the tools for self knowledge, insights into untapped wisdom for self-actualization and a perspective of the world that departs from racialized, white supremacist ideologies to embrace the complex global history that centers BIPOC perspectives.

Portal Vision

The NOIRSHIP is ultimately the virtual spaceship on which NOIR events happen; where our community gathers to connect, build and thrive; and where the uniquely afro-futuristic NOIR Labs vision comes to life!
The Portal to African Intelligence, one dimension of the NOIRSHIP, was created to inspire pride in Africa’s contributions to global development, to educate us on the most glorious ways that People of African Descent (PoAD) are crafting a Liberated Black future, and to gamify our growth as we deepen in this knowledge.
Our ultimate vision of the Portal is to provide a virtual experience through a digital collection rivaling that of the finest museums, and to create a space where dreamers gather to visualize the Highest Good possible for our world.

Portal Curriculum

The Portal includes highlights from NOIR FEST and previews of the African Digital Institute and the Portal X platform. The Portal content covers the topics below, imparted through visual art, sound and interactive dialogues. If you create a profile, you’ll get to respond to what you see, and earn coins for every section of the Portal you complete. At the end, you will see how you did (time spent, sections completed) and will have a chance to obtain some of the art and content for yourself beyond the digital immersion.
