We’re so excited to welcome you to the Portal to African Intelligence, and so grateful for your support! This Portal wouldn’t be possible without you!
The Portal is a digital immersion which will display images, video and music to you as a participant, and ask you questions about how you feel about what you’re seeing, while raising your historical awareness and your sensitivity to the urgency of Black futurity.
It’s a curious new way to experience Blackness through art!
How to Get started
Please ensure that your space is as free of distractions as possible. Use headphones if you’re in a space with others. As you’re going through the Portal with a group, it is expected that participants may be at different stages at the same time. Try to completely focus on your journey and wait to see what’s up with them after.
The “Start” button below will take you to the first entry. From there, you’ll see a total of 10 entries with questions. We would love for you to answer all questions, but if you need to skip one, you can just hit the “Next” button. You’ll also be able to go back to previous entries.
We expect it will take 45 minutes to 1hr to complete the journey. At the end of the journey, you’ll be asked to provide your feedback. We would really appreciate it if you took the time to do this.
